Since Sean’s passing we have awarded $37,000 to individuals to assist them with furthering their education. With the launch of the Sean Bartell Memorial Foundation we now will be able to reach out, not only to seniors, but all individuals trying to further their education. This will be another year of firsts for us. We encountered this in 2015 because everything we did, we now had to do without Sean. For the first time, we were going to be able to help a young person that was already enrolled in a higher learning institution. We took this opportunity during our 3rd Annual Pasta dinner where we recognized the efforts of Chase Oknefski for receiving Dean Lists Honors at UCF. During the senior breakfast at Wesley Chapel High School we awarded the first four-year grant. This was presented to Dana Mumaw.
